The annual Quadpack cocktail party during Cosmoprof Hong Kong this year celebrated the merger with Collcap. Previous Collcap members, including founder John McDermott, joined their new Quadpack colleagues on 17 November on the Rooftop Terrace of the Wooloomooloo Steakhouse in Wan Chai. Over 140 staff, clients and suppliers took a break from the show to relax and enjoy the stunning views over Victoria Harbour.

The party afforded Quadpack the opportunity to introduce key new members to clients and suppliers, including Sales Operations Director Neal Kinson, Key Account Managers Guillaume Bichon and Dom Maisano, Market Development Manager Robert McDermott and several of the now 24-strong Asian sourcing team, including Grace Wang and Norris Yeung.

The industry press was also present, among them, journalist Alex Wynne. She said:

"I had a great time meeting with the expanded Quadpack team and mingling with all the other friendly guests. It was a wonderful occasion to relax a little after walking the trade show all day. The location took my breath away too; it was the best view of Hong Kong by night that I have seen!"

Guests were given a gift of purple and yellow chocolates in honour of Quadpack and Collcap’s corporate colours – in a glass jar sourced from Asia, topped with a bespoke wooden cap, created and manufactured at Quadpack’s Technotraf factory.

Imagine a fragrance accessory that is both an aromatherapy device and a bold fashion statement. Too futuristic and conceptual? Perhaps – but this product exists, has a name and a creator: ‘NI’ was developed in 2018 by designer Amaia Aranzabal as a final-year project at the prestigious Elisava design and engineering school in Barcelona, Spain. The challenge for that year’s graduating class had been set by Quadpack, partnering with Elisava for the first time.
