Seeking synergies at the Quadpack European Suppliers’ Conference

Europe, Iberia, Spain, Corporate Awards

Quadpack hosted its annual European Suppliers Conference in March 2019, an event that provided an opportunity for suppliers and partners to get together, learn, workshop common goals and study ways to grow together. Over 60 representatives attended the event at the historic 1898 Hotel in Barcelona.

“Communicating future growth plans is vital,” says Raj Savji, Quadpack’s Director of Sourcing and Supply and MC of the conference. “By having our partners clearly understand our strategy, we can all look out for synergies and identify mutual growth opportunities.”

With the message Tim Eaves, Quadpack’s CEO, opened the day. He emphasized the importance of understanding Quadpack’s future plans as the company works towards doubling its capacity over the coming years.

Following this, Quadpack’s CSR director Alex Sant Miguel discussed sustainability; an issue that underlines every part of the company’s operations. The driving message in this presentation was one of urgency. Sustainability is no longer ‘abstract’; it’s a here-and-now issue that suppliers must take on board. They do this by signing the Quadpack ‘Supplier Code of Conduct’, which sets shared benchmarks for environmental and workplace ethics.

And then it was time to hand out the awards. This was the first time Quadpack presented ‘Supplier Awards’ in Europe – after the success of the Asian Supplier Awards in May 2018. Excellence in various categories, from Best Product to Best Operational Excellence, was recognised with a special certificate.

Congratulations to the nominees and winners! And thanks to all Quadpack suppliers, partners and stakeholders for sharing in the company’s vision and continued success.

Imagine a fragrance accessory that is both an aromatherapy device and a bold fashion statement. Too futuristic and conceptual? Perhaps – but this product exists, has a name and a creator: ‘NI’ was developed in 2018 by designer Amaia Aranzabal as a final-year project at the prestigious Elisava design and engineering school in Barcelona, Spain. The challenge for that year’s graduating class had been set by Quadpack, partnering with Elisava for the first time.
