The Fragrance Foundation France is a prestigious association whose mission is to inspire the world to discover the artistry and passion of fragrance. The Fragrance Foundation France awards are considered the ‘Oscars’ of the perfume industry. For the 2019 event in Paris, Quadpack was asked by the foundation to co-create the award; a sculptural object that represents the artistry and exactitude of the art of perfume.
Designed to look like an inverted perfume bottle by Sylvie de France, the name behind some of the world’s most iconic fragrance bottles, the award is the result of a creative collaboration between Slovenian master glassmakers Hrastnik, who made the upper volume, and Quadpack Wood, who made the base it sits on.
This year, The Fragrance Foundation France wanted the award to emit an eco value, which is expressed in the robust base made of sustainably sourced ash wood. The challenge of the project was to make a small quantity of the pieces using industrial processes; cutting, rendering with a grey tint, engraving and fitted with a metal plaque with the winners’ names.
The Fragrance Foundation France awards cover diverse categories from home fragrances, to bath and body and packaging of the year. As a long time member of the foundation, and committed to creating beauty wherever it can, Quadpack is proud to have played a part in the event, and sends its heartfelt congratulations to all the winners.
