Quadpack Impressions has been upgraded with a brand new decorating line. The installation offers high-precision screen printing and hot-stamping on glass bottles, as well as other materials. The plant now offers a complete, Europe-based decoration service for all types of beauty packaging.

"Glass needs careful treatment to obtain optimal results," said Ernesto Cara, head of Quadpack's Manufacturing Division. "Our new line is finely calibrated to deal with the characteristics of this particular material."

The production line consists of a pre-treatment station, a one-colour screen-printing machine, a UV oven, a hot-stamping machine and an infra-red drying tunnel. Both the screen printing and thermal printing machines are CNC-driven, which enables decoration of not only cylindrical packs, but also ovals and other shapes.

Quadpack Impressions' glass decorating line has a production capacity of 2,000 units per hour, or 10m units a year for screen and thermal printing, depending on the size and shape of the item.

Imagine a fragrance accessory that is both an aromatherapy device and a bold fashion statement. Too futuristic and conceptual? Perhaps – but this product exists, has a name and a creator: ‘NI’ was developed in 2018 by designer Amaia Aranzabal as a final-year project at the prestigious Elisava design and engineering school in Barcelona, Spain. The challenge for that year’s graduating class had been set by Quadpack, partnering with Elisava for the first time.
